In partnership with Orit Muhlbauer Eyal Architects, this project restores the historic electrical station built in 1937 to increase the supply of electricity to the northern area of Tel Aviv. The project will be completed in stages, with the first stage including the restoration of the turbine hall and its auxiliary spaces as publically accessible multi-purpose spaces.
This intervention meticulously preserves the historical and architectural character of the building, while gently introducing modern elements to upgrade the structure for various uses according to the needs of the client and public without changing its essential nature. This process involves restoring the damaged structure which had deteriorated over the years, including unique elements at the main entrance, ceremonial stairs, windows and gable skylights.
