Triumph Park

The new Triumph Park neighborhood proposes to inject a new urban environment in the southern part of St. Petersburg, outside the environs of the historic city. The plan includes 10,000 housing units as well as commercial, office and public spaces. It aims to reclaim the individual human scale from the monolithic structures that were once common in Russia by designing pedestrian friendly public squares and gardens among buildings of varying scales and types. Additionally, an emphasis was placed on facilitating protected pedestrian traffic during freezing weather and allowing children to reach public areas without having to cross any roads.
